Comprehensive Orthodontic Services for Sheridan Patients
Sheridan Braces Options
Traditional metal braces remain a reliable, effective option for patients of all ages in Sheridan. These braces utilize small metal brackets bonded to the teeth, connected by wires that gradually guide teeth into their proper positions. Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive than ever before.
For Sheridan patients seeking a more discreet option, we offer clear bracket braces that blend naturally with your tooth color. These ceramic braces provide the same effective treatment as metal braces but with a less noticeable appearance, making them popular among our adult and teen patients from Sheridan.
We also provide lingual braces Sheridan patients love for their complete invisibility. Unlike traditional braces that attach to the front of teeth, lingual braces are custom-made to fit on the tongue side of your teeth, offering effective treatment that’s completely hidden from view.
Invisalign Treatment in Sheridan
Sheridan Invisalign treatment offers a revolutionary approach to straightening teeth without metal brackets or wires. These clear, removable aligners are custom-designed to fit your teeth precisely and gradually shift them into proper alignment.
For Sheridan teens, Invisalign Teen® provides all the benefits of traditional Invisalign with special features designed specifically for younger patients. Compliance indicators help track wearing time, while eruption tabs accommodate growing teeth.
The clear aligners are virtually invisible, allowing Sheridan patients to straighten their teeth without drawing attention to their treatment. They’re also removable for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, making daily oral hygiene much easier to maintain throughout treatment.
Specialized Orthodontic Care in Sheridan
For patients with severe jaw discrepancies, we offer surgical orthodontics in partnership with top oral surgeons serving the Sheridan area. This combined approach addresses complex skeletal issues that cannot be corrected with braces or aligners alone.
Many Sheridan residents suffer from temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), which can cause jaw pain, headaches, and limited jaw movement. Our team provides specialized treatment to address TMJ symptoms and improve jaw function for lasting relief.
After active orthodontic treatment, we provide custom retainers to maintain your beautiful new smile. Our Sheridan retainer options include fixed (bonded) retainers, clear removable retainers, and traditional Hawley retainers to suit your lifestyle and retention needs.
Orthodontic Treatment for Every Age in Sheridan
Children’s Orthodontics in Sheridan
Early intervention can prevent more serious problems from developing and may simplify future treatment. We recommend Sheridan children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7, when potential issues can be identified and addressed proactively.
Our child-friendly approach helps young patients from Sheridan feel comfortable and excited about their orthodontic journey. We take time to explain procedures in age-appropriate ways and celebrate milestones throughout treatment.
Treatment for Sheridan children may include space maintainers, palatal expanders, or partial braces to guide jaw growth and tooth development. These early interventions often reduce the need for extensive treatment during the teenage years.
Teen Orthodontics in Sheridan
Adolescence is the most common time for orthodontic treatment, as most permanent teeth have erupted and the jaw is still growing. Our Sheridan teen patients can choose from multiple treatment options, including traditional braces, clear braces, lingual braces, or Invisalign Teen®.
We understand Sheridan teenagers have busy schedules with school, sports, and social activities. Our efficient appointments and extended office hours make it easier to fit orthodontic care into their lives with minimal disruption.
For sports-active teens in Sheridan, we provide custom mouthguards to protect their teeth and orthodontic appliances during athletic activities, ensuring their treatment stays on track while they pursue their passions.
Adult Orthodontics in Sheridan
It’s never too late to achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. Many Sheridan adults seek orthodontic treatment to improve their appearance, boost confidence, or address long-standing functional issues.
Adult patients from Sheridan often prefer our more discreet treatment options, such as clear braces, lingual braces, or Invisalign®. These alternatives provide effective correction while minimizing the visual impact on their professional and personal lives.
We recognize Sheridan adult patients may have unique concerns, including existing dental work, gum recession, or bone loss. Dr. Hardy has extensive experience working with adult patients to overcome these challenges and achieve outstanding results.
Advanced Technology for Sheridan Orthodontic Patients
We employ cutting-edge technology to enhance treatment outcomes for our Sheridan patients. Our digital scanning system eliminates the need for messy impressions, creating precise 3D models of your teeth for more accurate treatment planning.
Custom-designed appliances offer superior comfort and effectiveness compared to one-size-fits-all solutions. For Sheridan patients, this means faster treatment, fewer adjustments, and better results.
Our practice utilizes temporary anchorage devices (TADs) when needed to achieve tooth movements that would otherwise be difficult or impossible. These small, temporary implants provide additional support for complex orthodontic corrections, expanding treatment possibilities for Sheridan patients.
Affordable Orthodontic Care for Sheridan Families
We believe financial constraints shouldn’t prevent anyone from receiving the orthodontic care they need. That’s why we offer flexible payment plans with low monthly options for Sheridan families on any budget.
Dr. Hardy accepts most PPO dental insurance plans and Medicaid, maximizing your benefits to reduce out-of-pocket expenses. Our insurance specialists help Sheridan patients understand their coverage and make the most of their benefits.

However, your specific treatment plan may require more or less frequent visits depending on your individual needs. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate Sheridan residents, including early morning and evening appointments on select days. Our efficient appointment system minimizes wait times and helps you get back to your day quickly.
How much does orthodontic treatment cost in Sheridan?
The cost of orthodontic treatment for Sheridan patients varies depending on several factors, including the type of treatment, the complexity of your case, and the estimated treatment duration. We offer free initial consultations where we’ll provide a detailed cost breakdown based on your specific needs. Does orthodontic treatment hurt?
Orthodontic treatment is generally not painful, though you may experience some discomfort, especially after adjustments. Most Sheridan patients describe the sensation as pressure rather than pain. This temporary discomfort typically lasts 2-3 days and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. Our team provides detailed instructions on managing any discomfort and maintaining oral hygiene throughout treatment. We’re always available to address concerns from our Sheridan patients and can offer solutions for specific issues that arise during your orthodontic journey.

Can I still play sports or musical instruments with braces?
Absolutely! Many of our Sheridan patients are active in sports or play musical instruments while undergoing orthodontic treatment. For athletes, we recommend wearing a custom-fitted mouthguard to protect both your teeth and your orthodontic appliances during sports activities. We provide special orthodontic mouthguards that accommodate braces and offer superior protection compared to standard store-bought options. For musicians, particularly those who play wind or brass instruments, there may be a brief adjustment period, but most adapt quickly to playing with braces. Invisalign can be an excellent option for Sheridan musicians since the aligners can be removed temporarily during practice or performances.

The City of Sheridan is a home rule municipality located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. Sheridan is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,664 at the 2010 census.
Sheridan was originally part of the Indian Territory and has always been a small community. The first white settler of what would become Sheridan was John McBroom in the spring of 1859.[14] He homesteaded 160 acres (0.65 km2). The town was initially named Petersburg. McBroom built his first log cabin near Bear Creek which he later abandoned in 1866 when he married Emma J. Bennett. He prospered as a farmer and found a viable market in Denver for his goods. He was joined by his brother, Isaac McBroom, in June 1860, who also homesteaded a little over 160 acres (0.65 km2). The laying out of the town of Sheridan is credited to Isaac. He was also responsible for the name change from Petersburg to Sheridan. Isaac McBroom’s cabin can be toured at the Littleton Historical Museum.
Another prominent figure in Sheridan’s early history was Peter Magnes. Originally from Sweden, Magnes was a farmer who immigrated to the United States at the age of 26. In 1859, his first daughter was born on the banks of Cherry Creek. He also purchased 160 acres (0.65 km2) of land and built a small log cabin. In 1865 Magnes laid out the town of Petersburg and encouraged Swedish families to immigrate to his town. The town had a railroad, hotel, blacksmith, church, newspaper, post office and, of course, taverns. The state of Colorado was formed in 1876, putting Sheridan within its new boundaries.
Citizens began moving toward incorporation of Sheridan in January 1890. There was some dispute among the petitioners about boundaries, and the final results were filed in February 1890. On April 14, 1890, the town of Sheridan was incorporated. (Source: Wikipedia)
