With UnitedHealthCare Dental PPO plans, one set of post-treatment retainers (for orthodontic purposes) is typically covered for the course of a lifetime. UnitedHealthCare Dental PPO plans offer an estimated 50% coverage for lingual braces. The waiting period is 6 months while the maximum lifetime benefit is $1,500. When visiting a PPO orthodontist, you will receive the $1500 calendar year maximum.
Does UnitedHealthCare Dental cover X-Rays?
Yes, UnitedHealthCare Dental covers dental x-rays. UnitedHealthCare Dental offers full (100%) coverage of dental x-rays. UnitedHealthCare Dental plans do not require waiting periods for diagnostic services such as dental x-rays.
