About Dr. Kayla Harris
Dr. Kayla Harris attended the University of Rhode Island where she earned a B.S. in Biology. In 2015 she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency before beginning her orthodontics training. She then completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Connecticut where she earned her Master’s Degree in Dental Science and had the privilege of leading as chief resident.
Dr. Kayla Harris is passionate about transforming smiles by providing quality and comprehensive holistic orthodontic care. During the initial consultation she ensures the treatment plan prioritizes the patient’s objectives, but also includes her own objectives which is obtaining esthetics, health, function and stability of the teeth. In addition, Dr. Harris is an advocate for early detection of misaligned teeth and jaws, therefore she encourages parents to bring in their children as early as the age of 7 for an orthodontic consultation.
Dr. Harris uses traditional braces, Invisalign, Inbrace, custom appliances and dentofacial orthopedics to aid in achieving the best smile for each patient. Both her and Dr. Hardy put a significant emphasis on digital orthodontics and the detail, accuracy and customization that comes with that to give the results you want and deserve.
In her free time, Kayla enjoys being active. She loves playing soccer, skiing and running. Kayla ran her first marathon in 2016 and aspires to cross the finish line of the Boston Marathon one day. She recently moved to Colorado to join her fiance and his family. She loves the outdoors including fishing with her fiance, Nick and taking her Goldendoodle, Brody, on long hikes.
